How to Attract More Internet Visitors and Get More Leads

Posted on Oct 01 2007 | By · Comments Comments Off

I first spoke about this topic in the August newsletter, but I wanted to incorporate it into the blog because I think it’s pretty important stuff.

How Do I Get Internet Visitors to Sign Up for Something?

Irrestible Real Estate Marketing OffersThat question comes up right after an agent has traffic hitting their real estate website.  By that time, people know that they need to do on-page and off-page optimization to rank in the search engines.  Then, the next challenge is to get Internet visitors motivated to sign up for something on the site so that you can start to establish a relationship with them.

There are a number of things that will motivate a visitor to get more involved with the tools on your website.  Very often, they will register to use your MLS searchIF they can save searches, favorite listings and request e-mail updates when homes that match their criteria are added to the MLS.

There are a number of other tools that fit into the category of being irrestible, and require registration, discussed on this blog in the Content category.

The Irrestible Offer

I’ve always enjoyed Michael Russer’s concept of using “irrestible offers” in real estate marketing.  He defines an irrestible offer this way:

“An “irresistible offer” is a special package, piece of information, document, or item that will likely be viewed as extremely valuable by your visitors. So much so, that they will be eager and willing to complete a form on your site for the privilege of receiving it (usually at no charge).”

However, it’s becoming more and more difficult to find irrestible offers in the crowded online real estate environment.  Simple buying and selling reports are now a dime a dozen.  Internet buyers and sellers are also getting more sophisticated the more they are exposed to all the Internet has to offer.

So, How DO You Get People to Sign Up for Stuff?

Well, who better to discuss that issue than Michael Russer himself.  Read this article that defines the parameters of an irrestible offer, and lists some very creative ideas that you can use to attract more Internet visitors and get more leads!
