You probably already know that Facebook has changed their Fan button to one called Like. The theory is that people are more likely to click on the button because they like something, rather than saying that they are a fan.
That probably makes sense, but change is always difficult. It was easy to say “become a fan”. Now, we’ll write. . . what? “click if you like this” ?? I’m sure some good replacement will come to my mind or others to replace the “become a fan” phrase.
But, I digress. A new WordPress widget has been developed that will put a “Like” button at the bottom of all of your blog posts. Take a look at the bottom of this post to see what it looks like. And, “click if you like this post” because the display will change once people have clicked on the button.
It’s simple to set this widget up on your WordPress blog. You can download the free zip file for the widget here. For some reason the name of the zip file is HQFB.zip. So, download the file to a place where you can find it easily – the file name isn’t going to help you much.
Once the zip file is downloaded, just add it to your widgets and activate it.
Enjoy!
