Kathleen – I find that publishing articles on the American Chronicle gets loads of articles out. Many populate over to various Topix sites.

I think what you’re basically saying is that both scenarios end up with 2-3 entries at 3-5 sites. I’m afraid that figuring out the most effective approach isn’t an easy thing. I think it will depend on which sites you’re targeting, for one thing. Links from the Topix site, for example, are showing up in Yahoo. That’s good.

If you pick sites that are good authority sites, you should be helping your SEO. You might also want to create a blog on your own site, or on an authority site like ActiveRain and include links back to your own site with good anchor text.

Thanks for your prompt answer. As far as submitting to various site to improve page rank. Here’s two scenarios:
1. You pick 3-5 sites and you blog 2-3 times a week to them (or submit comments).
2. You know of a whole bunch of sites, like 10-12 and you blog or comment 2-3 times a week to 3-5 of them.

What is the better alternative for page rank? My guess is one. What’s yours?

Thanks for the mention:) Of the two sites I think the Topix site with do a little bit better for SEO purposes and certainly for traffic. Looking at my tracking info I am going to say there are about 5 visitors a dayy and growing from the Topix site. Yourstreet I just started using but have seen a few visitors.
