Last week I wrote a post about the lack of usage for keyword phrases that target distressed properties in a specific location. That post was titled Can You Find Short Sale Prospects Online?
After that post was published, I heard from my friend Dan Gooder Richard, the President and founder of GOODER GROUP. As you may know, the Gooder Group provides a lot of excellent tools for real estate marketing.
Playing off my post about SEO terms, Dan put together a terrific post that describes a number of offline real estate marketing initiatives that can be used to target short sale and distressed property prospects.
If you’re targeting the distressed property niche, Dan’s post is a must read!

Distressed properties seem to be the money makers of the day. Thanks for the information.

Hi Brad – That’s so true. Lots of my clients are very active with distressed properties. That’s why I hate to see people going after search terms that won’t help. And, Dan’s post was a great addition to the topic.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hey Kathleen//: Just back from Howard Brinton’s Star Power conference in Denver (7/30-8/1/09). Whew! Jam-packed sessions and idea sharing out the whazoo. I sat in on 11 different sessions with Howard’s Stars as panelists. The “Big Aha” many took away is how top Rainmakers are focusing (re-focusing?) rifle shot marketing on three markets: short sales (for listings), first-time buyers (where the action is now including many Gen X, immigrants, minorities, single females and boomerang kids with parent-financing) and investors (sometimes bottom fishing, but moneyed and serious). Deals are closing. Just need to turn over the right prospects! You have one of the best blogs in the business. Keep ‘em coming, Kathleen!//:

Dan – Sounds like a very informative conference. I think you’re right about those three. I think some buyers who aren’t investors are looking for foreclosed properties, too. Glad you like the blog, and thanks for the compliment!
