If you want to know how to add links and bold text on your Squidoo page, read on!

I mentioned before that if you want to add links and bolded words in some parts of the Squidoo page, you’ll need to use HTML.  You should understand that you don’t need to know how to read HTML.

Your content is added in a regular editor window.  But, you’ll just need to add a couple HTML commands to create a link or bold some text.  Here’s how.

ADDING A LINK – A link looks like this:
<a href=”http://www.TheDomainName.com”>Visit our website</a>

  • Just replace the URL: http://www.TheDomainName.com with the page you want to link to.
  • Replace the “Visit our website” with the text you want to be clickable to activate the link
  • Just make sure you have all the pieces and parts in the right place – one missing quotation mark will make the link unusable.
  • Put the HTML right in the middle of your sentence, such as You can learn more about <a href=”http://www.buildrealestateresults.com”>Getting it Write, Inc</a> when you visit our website.
  • That sentence would end up looking like this:  You can learn more about Getting It Write, Inc when you visit our website.

BOLDING TEXT – There are different ways to bold text.  Here’s one way that works on Squidoo:
<strong>text</strong>

  • Just put the <strong> before the words you want to bold
  • The </strong> indicates where you want the bolding to stop
  • Let’s say you wanted the sentence with the link in it to show the linked words in bold, you would enter it like this:  You can learn more about <strong> <a href=”http://www.buildrealestateresults.com”>Getting it Write, Inc</a></strong> when you visit our website.
  • The sentence would now look like this:  You can learn more about Getting It Write, Inc when you visit our website.

With those two techniques, you’ll be able to make your content look very professional!
