Theres an old saying of "theres no free lunch". It applies to the web and search engine marketing as well. You can have the #1 site in the world - but if your site is garbage/spammy, your conversion of that traffic over to customers is going to be minimal. Conversely, if you have the best site in the entire world, but no one can find it - your ending volume of customers is again going to be minimal. It takes a lot of work/effort (which you obviously put in), to create a site that people want to visit - and to be found in the first place.
