The other one I like is the company that mails out "domain renewal" notices. If you renew your domain name by responding to the mailing, you end up transferring your domain to another host - the sender of the notice. There are a ton of leeches out there that do nothing but prey on real estate agents with completely bogus hyped up drama (read: lies) so they can lighten your wallet. One of the ones I get all the time is the one that says "your website domain is going to expire in 2 days, register here NOW to avoid losing your site". But, when you read closely, its actually the web domain with a .net rather than the .com that it actually is. Good catch.
