Different may make you stand out from the crowd - but unfamiliarity can lead to confusion and frustration. Besides, if you come up with something really unique and different - how long do you think someone is going to use your idea as inspiration and come out with something similar? Making it EASY for your target audience, and giving them what they want (along with a reasonably fast loading time) should be the highest priorities for any website. Great advice, Kathleen.
