I can not understand why people think it’s okay to treat people poorly and not be helpful. I can’t help think they are lazy or underpaid and over tired and really shouldn’t be working.

I actually go to stores that are helpful and those where they are not don’t get my sale. I am a customer focused person even before it became the cliche it has become and can’t imagine not going the extra mile on anything. Doing so has always provided me with a joy and friendly smile and sometimes a new friend.

If it were me, I’d mention that experience to the dentist. I would think he’d want to do the triage for patients, not his receptionist.

I can relate I had a filling fall out of my tooth Thursday and my dentist is closed Fridays. I called and was told I only work Thursdays and call back Monday and they regular people will help you and by the way doctors going on vacation next Thursday. I asked her to pop in and see the dentist today as I am moving next week and busy time for me and she said no I can’t interrupt doctor. I asked for my hygenist because I knew she would ask him and she told me she was sick and didn’t come in today. I ended the call by saying can you pull my chart and show the doctor and tell him what tooth it is as he would be concered also I had just had a route canal done and he was concered if the tooth was stable as well.

An hour later I got a call come right in. I thank her for her effort and there was my hygenist running up and down the hall.

I know staff guard doctors time from annoying calls from patients. I normally would have waited till next week but I thought it might have problem over the weekend.

I just wonder if doctor knows she is telling people to call back and schedule another day and lieing to patients who is available for a call.

Who is running the front desk?
