Finding Ways to Increase Your Client Base

Increasing your client base starts with a strong strategy for managing your real estate marketing sales funnel. And, an important part of that strategy concerns staying in front of your target market, leads, prospects, and clients. The challenge, of course, is figuring out how to stay in touch with the people you’re targeting.

Here’s a resource that might be just what you need to add to your toolkit. NAR publishes a booklet titled 300 Tips for Buying and Selling. The booklet contains tips from REALTORS® all over the nation, guidelines and checklists. As a NAR member, the cost per booklet is $4.99 if you purchase five or more.

Is it worth the cost? Well, it’s not something you would provide to leads if your budget doesn’t support that level of expenditure. But, it might be perfect for a serious prospect. Consider what it would take to create something like this on your own. Then, think about how effective it is to focus on one communications tool to stay in touch with important prospects. How many postcards or drip e-mails will one prospect really pay attention to? Shepherding prospects to client status will be much more effective when you use a variety of ways to stay in touch - and when the perceived value of your communication is high.

Walking into a listing presentation with hard facts from your MLS, and spending more time educating your prospects about market conditions will go a long way to instill confidence and make you stand out from the crowd! Review these other tips from industry expert Mike Ferry.
