DECEMBER, 2005 REAL ESTATE RESULTS NEWSLETTER
Welcome to the last Real Estate Results Newsletter for 2005. I want to express my appreciation to all of our clients. You’ve made it a great year. I look forward to meeting more of you who are receiving this newsletter in 2006!
Website Update
You may have noticed that the header on this newsletter looks different than it has in the past. Be sure to visit www.BuildRealEstate.com and see our new look. We’ve also reorganized the information on the site to make a separate Marketing Tips area that will make it easy for us to add, and you to find, quick reference information. We’ll be adding to the site on a regular basis.
In this Month’s Newsletter:
A New Look at FSBOs
FSBO - it’s a term that has become part of the real estate industry’s jargon. For Sale By Owner. It’s usually displayed with initial caps - like IBM or KFC. To an extent, it has gained the air of a brand name. It is thought-provoking that while many professionals in the real estate industry have not yet branded themselves, the folks trying it on their own have!
REALTOR® Magazine Online published an interesting article about a different way to talk about FSBOs that may help you change the way people think about For Sale By Owner, and quietly talk your prospects out of giving it a try!
Redecorate Your E-Mail for the New Year
Just about everyone uses e-mail on a daily basis. It can be a challenge making sure that your e-mails look professional, reinforce your brand, and provide complete contact information. Some real estate websites format outgoing e-mails. But most people send many e-mails from their normal e-mail software.
If you use Outlook, Outlook Express, AOL, Yahoo or Hotmail, and you’d like your e-mails to be formatted, check out AddBranding.com. The fee is a reasonable $39.95 per year, and you can use the service on a trial basis.
The Good News for 2006!
Thought we’d end the year on a high note. In case you missed this article from Realty Times, check it out now. According to the NAR’s chief economist, 2006 should bring near record sales.
Wishing all of you health, wealth, and happiness in the New Year.
Until next month...
