Spring’s On the Way - Get Your Free Trees!
Would your clients like to have some trees and bushes for their new home? There’s an organization that saves healthy, unsold plants and offers them to you for the price of shipping. The plants are packaged by disabled workers.
According to Cheryl Richter, the driving force behind FreeTreesandPlants.com, “Your plants are FREE. Every plant is as good as, or better than, those you see in expensive catalogs at high prices. The only difference is that, unless you want these plants, they may go to waste. You get free plants. You help stop a huge waste. Disabled people get meaningful work and a paycheck. Everyone wins.”

How to Put Yourself Right on Your Prospects’ Computer.
Michael Russer, Mr. Internet, has identified a great way to get your contact information sitting right on your prospects’ computer monitor. It’s called the DTES DATEwise e-Calendar and Personal Planner.
You can provide your clients and prospects with an online calendar that appears when the computer is turned on. The calendar is customized with your contact information. And, it is a perpetual calendar, so it never needs to be updated. The program can be acquired for a one-time $299 fee, and then you can provide an unlimited number of your own personalized calendars.
If you’ve been looking for an extremely useful promotional item that won’t run out of ink, get thrown out, or gather dust in a drawer, this could be your answer.

How to Become Your Seller’s Hero.
If you’re like most agents, one of your biggest challenges in working with home sellers is keeping them informed about progress. Another challenge is just gathering the information you need to provide to the seller!
Obtaining feedback from showing agents can be difficult. Tracking down showing agents can be time-consuming, and telephone messages asking for a return call are often ignored. So, what’s a listing agent to do?
You might want to consider HomeFeedback.com. This system provides automated tools to make the process painless. You can give your sellers a private login to the system. In fact, you can provide a login link on your real estate website. You enter new listings into the system, including a photograph of the home. When the home is shown, you (or often your seller) enter a few pieces of information about the showing agent. A personalized e-mail is sent to the showing agent. The e-mail contains a photo of the home and a short feedback survey. The showing agent can reply using a few keystrokes.
The advantages are many. You save time, the home’s photo lets you avoid the problem of getting feedback from an agent who doesn’t remember which home was yours, your sellers have tangible proof of the effort you make to sell the home and to let them know what is happening! And, HomeFeedback.com provides marketing information you can incorporate into your listing presentation.
It’s another great way to differentiate yourself in the marketplace. And, the cost is modest. There is a $9.95 set up fee, and a monthly fee of $9.95. The 30-day free trial requires that you provide credit card information, and cancel before regular payments begin on day 31. However, based on the feedback I’ve heard, canceling the service is not something that happens very often!
Until next month...
