How to Take Advantage of a Cooling Real Estate Market

Real estate markets go through cycles. No one knows that better than you do. You may be in a cooling market right now. Inventories are increasing slightly, homes aren’t selling quite as fast -- you’re feeling the winds of change.

The good news is that a cooling market motivates sellers and buyers to think harder about their choice of an agent. Sellers know that they need a true professional to get their home sold. Buyers know that there may be deals to be had if they can get the right information and a great negotiator to represent them.

So, a cooling real estate market is no time to shrink away from the market. Actually, it’s the best time to keep your message in front of your clients and prospects. Letting people know what a professional real estate agent - you - can accomplish for them is the best way to take advantage of a cooling market.

Do-It-Yourself Home Staging

Home staging works. The organization that trains home stagers has some interesting statistics on home staging results. Add all the testimonials, and it’s pretty clear that staging a home can make a significant difference in days on the market and sale price.

Home staging represents a new income stream for some agents and brokers. There are also Accredited Staging Professionals (ASP) that stage homes for a living. And, there are some home sellers who would like to try staging their home on their own.

If one of your clients is in the DIY category, you can assist by providing them with these tips.

While there are no guarantees where search engines are involved, you’ll still find that real estate websites that have achieved long-term successful ranking with the search engines have lots of links - some reciprocal, some not.

Make sure your link campaign gets off to a good start using these tips for setting up effective incoming one-way and reciprocal links,
