New Tool for Monitoring Incoming Links!
One of the most time-consuming and frustrating things about managing incoming links to your real estate website is checking to see whether your reciprocal link partners are still linking to your site. Just came across a company that seems to be doing a good job of assisting with that task, plus a lot more.
Take a look at LinkArmour.com. Comments on some forums where people are using the Link Armour service is very positive. The service runs on a monthly subscription of $34.95 to protect one website. As they point out, that’s $1.13 per day. And, when you calculate how much time you would spend to do this task manually, it’s a bargain.
In addition to checking your reciprocal link partners, you’ll also be able to check whether a link partner is linking to “bad neighborhoods” or has no-follow attributes on their link pages. You’ll also be able to determine who the competition is linking to, along with other helpful information that will help you hone your linking strategy. If you have a robust linking campaign underway, this product is worth checking out!

Branding: Did You Ever Buy a House From a Fish?
I’ll wager the answer to that question is No. I haven’t either. So why bring it up? Find out in this article entitled Real Estate Marketing: Sell Your Services, Not Yourself.
If you’re in the process of developing a marketing message, or creating a brand, it’s a good concept to keep in mind. Too often, agents and brokers are focused on presenting the industry’s definition of success, or they take the “personal” in personal branding very seriously.
Stay focused on the fact that you’re running a real estate consulting business and focus on the benefits your service provides to your clients, and your marketing message will be right on target!

Time Saving Tips for Closing Expired Listing Contacts
It seems like homeowners whose home hasn’t sold, and whose MLS listing has expired, would be great prospects. They wanted to sell their home, and it didn’t happen. So, the odds are they still want to sell their home. And, you’re probably just the REALTOR® to make the difference in getting them to the closing table.
But, many agents have a difficult time capitalizing on the expired listing prospect. The key could just be timing. Put yourself in the position of the homeowner. You put your trust in an agent to sell your home. They didn’t. Who is the last person you’d want to talk to right after the listing expires? You got it. Another real estate agent.
Read this article by Bob Corcoran of Corcoran Consulting to get the inside story on how careful timing can save you time when you’re going after expired listings.

Blogs Are Here!
Point2 Agent recently announced a beta version of blogs that are integrated into their Professional and Premium members’ websites. It’s another impressive offering from our top pick for template websites. The blog is managed from the Point2 Agent “back office”, so all the controls are in one place - for managing listings, contacts, content and blogs.
Since the blog is hosted under the main website’s domain name, traffic to the blog can be monitored from the Urchin/Google Analytics-style traffic statistics available in the back office. And, the main website will benefit from the search engines’ love of blogs!
If your website is not generating leads for you, or you’re looking for a change, contact us about Point2 Agent. They’re just getting better all the time!

Until next month... Happy Thanksgiving!
