Real Estate Logo Design
Designing a Real Estate Logo
Logos can be designed very simply, like IBM’s. Other companies incorporate an image into their logo like the Colonel at Kentucky Fried Chicken. Either way, the most important issue is to remain consistent. Your audience needs to see your logo presented in the same way every time they see it. So, even if your logo consists of words, make sure they are always shown in the same way. The Real Estate Partner is a sample of a specific layout of those words.
Colors
You should choose colors carefully. Keep in mind that colors do have meaning, and certain colors tend to generate specific feelings. If you’re interested, check this website to learn a bit about the meaning of color (a new window will open).
You should also consider how easy or difficult it will be to reproduce the colors you choose. Color reproduction varies depending on how the image is being used. That means that the colors you see on your computer screen may look different on other monitors. Colors reproduced on a four-color press will vary from those reproduced on a yard sign, a key chain, or a coffee mug.
The more colors used in your logo, the more expensive it will be to reproduce. And, if you choose a very unique shade, there will be more color variation than if you stick with a primary color. You should also determine how your logo will look in black and white, if there’s a possibility it will be reproduced in that format.
Longevity
Creating a logo represents a long-term commitment. After putting effort into building recognition for your logo, the last thing you want to do is change it.
Think about how your logo can work for you over the long-term. Ask yourself these types of questions: Should you include your broker’s logo with yours? If there is any possibility you will change brokers or open your own office, it’s not a good idea. Have you just formed a partnership with other agents? If you’re not absolutely sure about the team, consider how much effort you want to devote to branding yourself with the team logo.
