Videos are no longer a toy.  And there are
several ways you can create videos.
Start using videos now!

Making videos used to mean that you needed a video camera, a steady hand if you were going to be moving - or a flat surface, a good backdrop and a great hair day if you were staying in one place.  And, those types of videos are very effective for everything from doing a walk-through of one of your listings to creating a video on a topic of interest to buyers and sellers.  Now, there are easy and quick ways to make effective videos even without a video camera.  Here are some tools that will help you with any kind of video you want to produce.

Videos Using a Camera

You probably have heard of the Flip Video camera.  From the feedback I’ve seen, it looks like the Flip Video is the easiest and most cost effective way to make your own live videos.

Right now, there are 3 different Flip Video cameras to choose from.  You can compare them here to determine which one is the best for your needs.  But, as usual, Amazon.com has the best prices I’ve seen!

There are free video makers online like MovieMakerOnline.com.  But, if you want something very professional and easy to use, consider Animoto.

Animoto provides pre-designed themes for your video.  They also supply a range of choices in music, which saves you the bother of uploading your own music clips.

Videos Using Your Monitor

There are certain applications where you really want to show something on your computer monitor.

Perhaps you want an introduction to your website.  Doing a personal video would be great, but what about showing people how to find all the great tools and information you’ve packed on your site?

There’s an excellent free application online that makes it a snap to do screencasts called Screenr.  You can move around on your monitor, point things out with your cursor, and record a voice-over to explain what the viewer is seeing.
